P90X claims that you can literally transform your body in just 90 days. They claim to use a revolutionary system of 12 sweat inducing, muscle pumping workouts “designed to transform your body from regular to ripped in just 90 days.” They also give you a diet plan to use along those 90 days for greater success.
So where does this leave you? They use a system called muscle confusion. It basically means that every time your body is ready to plateau, whenever it gets used to any kind of workout, you are given new moves, which accelerate your weight loss results. And with the diet plan, of course you are not eating like you used to, so you get even greater results.
The problem is what happens afterward. P90X has always capitalized on the idea of transforming your body in 90 days. They’ve never actually developed a plan for after the 90 days. They never actually developed a plan for your workouts to keep up the results you’ve achieved or for that matter a long term diet plan, especially if you need to lose more weight.
The reality is that P90X isn’t exactly the ideal plan. Yes, it does work in those 90 days, there’s no denying that, especially considering all the consumer reviews. The problem is the long term. For any good diet plan, yes you need a long term plan. It has to be a complete lifestyle change, or else you are going to do more harm than good. P90X is not a lifestyle change.
