Created by Nikki Haskell, StarCaps claimed that you could “dare to be thin.”  They talked about helping you to burn fat and otherwise lose the weight and keep it off.  And apparently, this formula was supposed to be created by the “diet queen of the stars.”  Anybody who is the diet queen is indicating a history of crash dieting rather than healthy eating alone, which should sustain results.  Anyway, this product is actually no longer available due to a lawsuit involving an NFL player who took the product and claimed that it must be StarCaps when he tested positive yet again for an illegal substance.  Now of course, our first thought was that it wasn’t legit, because he’s tested positive for illegal substances before.  But as it turns out, a number of products were pulled for using illegal prescriptions and otherwise including StarCaps.  So obviously, as you can see, it would not be a recommended product.

Sometimes researchers do studies, like the one I’m talking about today involving the relationship between TV-watching and energy expenditure and you think – “Did I actually have to pay for this study?”

In this particular study, published in the , researchers studied 36 adults who watched about 3 hours of TV each day and had that fell between 25 and 50 (considered overweight/obese). 20 participants got a lock-out system which shut their TVs off after they’d watched about half of their normal TV time.
